Ultra-thin super engineering plastic film
In the heart of SR-009S you will find a film made of ultra-thin super engineering plastic. The light mass enables a highly transient character in sound throughout the whole audible spectrum.
Matching with this design, the main body is also redesigned on the 009s to further minimalize resonance for the best sound quality.
STAX picked Aluminum for the framework citing the metal’s physical qualities, which they regard as an excellent material for sound chamber suitable for audio equipment. The metal is used extensively throughout the whole design including the outer frame and elements of the framework that houses the driver inside, to realize high-quality sound, rigidity and lightweight. Every part of the SR-009S is manufactured through precise machine processing.
Silver coated high-purity copper wire of 99.9999% (6N) purity are adopted for the cable, built in a structure that is most suitable to drive the ear-speaker.
Handcrafted with a new design, the earpads are made from genuine high-quality leather. The extremely comfortable cushion allows hours of comfortable listening to music.
