The Meze Audio STRADA is a closed-back dynamic headphone designed with a focus on balanced tuning, practical usability, and long-term build quality. Developed and manufactured in Romania, STRADA targets listeners who require effective isolation without sacrificing tonal accuracy or comfort during extended listening sessions.

Sound Tuning

STRADA follows a neutral-to-slightly-warm tuning philosophy. The presentation is controlled and coherent, prioritising clarity and balance over emphasis or coloration.

• Bass: The low frequencies are mildly elevated to provide substance and weight, while remaining tight and well controlled. Bass does not dominate the presentation and avoids masking the midrange.
• Midrange: The midrange is linear and transparent, allowing voices and instruments to be reproduced with natural timbre and stable positioning. Separation remains consistent even in denser recordings.
• Treble: High frequencies are cleanly extended and restrained in level. Detail retrieval is present without sharpness, supporting longer listening sessions without fatigue.

Overall, the sound signature is even, predictable, and suitable for both casual listening and more focused evaluation.

Closed-Back Construction

As a closed-back headphone, STRADA offers effective passive noise isolation. At the same time, the spatial presentation remains structured and natural, avoiding the overly closed-in character often associated with sealed designs.

Driver Design Meze Strada

STRADA uses a 50 mm dynamic driver, derived from the platform introduced with the 109 PRO and reworked specifically for closed-back operation.

The diaphragm is made from a carbon fiber–reinforced cellulose composite. The surrounding torus consists of a semi-crystalline polymer coated with beryllium using a PVD process. A copper-zinc alloy stabilising ring surrounds the membrane to reduce micro-vibrations and distortion. This construction aims to maintain control, low distortion, and consistent transient behaviour.

Build Quality & Comfort

The chassis is based on a revised LIRIC-series architecture and combines metal and wood components in a functional, durable design.

• Macassar ebony ear cups, each with individual grain patterns
• Magnetic ear pads for easy replacement and consistent sealing
• Magnesium frame with multi-layer painted finish
• Padded headband with segmented support zones for even pressure distribution

With a total weight of 330 g, STRADA remains comfortable for extended listening periods.

Serviceability & Longevity

STRADA is built using a modular, fully serviceable construction. Individual components can be replaced if required, supporting long-term ownership rather than short product cycles.
