Advanced 10 mm Dynamic Driver
At the heart of the Meze Astru lies a high-performance 10 mm dynamic driver featuring a multilayer metal-coated composite diaphragm.
The diaphragm dome consists of a PEEK base combined with a titanium layer and an outer gold coating applied in 80 ultra-thin layers through a 48-hour vacuum sputtering process. This complex structure enhances rigidity while maintaining low mass, allowing the driver to achieve smoother treble response, improved extension and highly natural transient behavior.
The result is a dynamic driver capable of delivering the detail, layering and imaging often associated with multi-driver IEMs, while preserving the tonal coherence that only a single-driver design can provide.
Precision Titanium Housing
The Meze Audio Astru features a meticulously engineered housing CNC-machined from a single block of pure titanium. This one-piece construction ensures exceptional durability, structural rigidity and acoustic stability.
After machining, the shells undergo an electroplating process that creates a refined satin finish while improving wearing comfort. Producing a matched pair of Meze Astru shells requires up to seven days of processing, reflecting the level of craftsmanship behind each unit.
Designed for Long-Term Comfort
Building upon the ergonomic design principles introduced in previous Meze in-ear models, the Meze Astru has been carefully shaped to follow the natural contours of the ear.
The refined shell geometry minimizes pressure points and hotspots, allowing the earphones to remain comfortable even during extended listening sessions. The result is a secure yet unobtrusive fit where the focus remains entirely on the music.
Premium Cable and Accessories
The Meze Audio Astru comes with a high-quality 1.2 m cable made from silver-plated Linear Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper (LC-OFC). Its dual-strand construction with 161 conductors per strand ensures low resistance and excellent signal transmission.
The cable is insulated with SoftFlex PVC for enhanced flexibility and comfort and terminates in a 4.4 mm balanced connector, ideal for high-end portable players and headphone amplifiers.
A 4.4 mm female to 3.5 mm male adapter is also included, making the Meze Astru compatible with a wide range of devices.
