Inside, a 10 mm dynamic driver provides a rich and homogeneous bass response, while a BA driver for the mids and the two super tweeters ensure clear, balanced mids and highs. The Campfire Audio Black Star has been developed to skillfully combine exceptional sound quality with simple elegance.

As a premium IEM, the Black Star not only offers exceptional sound, but also a holistic listening experience. The Time Stream cables with silver-plated copper conductors are included and are available with both 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm connections for versatile high-fidelity connections.

The earphones come in a luxurious, handmade leather case from Portugal for stylish protection. This case, which is both visually and functionally impressive, represents the craftsmanship that characterizes the Black Star.

In the tradition of Campfire hybrids – typically known for their bombastic and emotive signatures – the Black Star takes on a unique role that emphasizes its balanced frequency response and overall approach.

Phase Harmony Technology

Campfire Audio’s philosophy regarding the treatment of drivers is based on a well thought-out approach that emphasizes quality over quantity. It is not the sheer number of drivers, but the way they work together that is decisive for impressive sound quality.

One approach to achieving this is Campfire’s Phase Harmony Engineering. This makes it possible to segment the frequency spectrum and assign these segments to specific drivers so that they can use their strengths in this area. But that’s not all.

By combining precision-engineered driver housings and shell geometries with individual damping values, the tuning and response of the drivers and their interaction with each other is physically modeled.

This interaction between the drivers and their sound waves is crucial for eliminating potential phase cancellations and creating the immaterial characteristics that cannot be seen on a frequency response curve: Imaging, Separation, Resolution and Soundstage.

Dynamic Dual-Magnetic Driver

Campfire Audio’s newly developed dynamic dual-magnet driver utilizes an enhanced magnetic field to achieve higher efficiency, better transient response and precise cone movement. This advanced audiophile transducer is characterized by a deep, emotional sound signature.

The BlackStar uses this driver to produce just the right amount of low bass to play in perfect harmony with the rest of the frequency spectrum. Precise and restrained, yet with a dynamic impact, the IEM delivers outstanding harmony with inspiring tonality.

The ergonomics of mobile Hi-Fi cables

The Black Star comes with two Time Stream cables – 3.5mm and 4.4mm. Microphony is virtually eliminated and the silver-plated copper conductors are encased in a supple, flexible jacket. The new Time Stream cables, with their polished and gold-plated metal trim, fit in well with the overall design philosophy of Solaris, Andromeda and Trifecta.

With 3.5mm and 4.4mm connectors included, you can be sure you’ll always have the right one to make Solaris the preferred headphone for all your audio devices. Because all good things come in threes.

Brand new premium leather case

The new premium folding case completes the scope of delivery of the Black Star. Thanks to the two compartments, you can repack your portable hi-fi system as required. Magnetic fasteners close the bags firmly and allow one-handed opening if required. Your headphones are naturally protected by the high-quality leather in “Dark Matter” black. Inside, cotton loops provide connections for key hooks, carabiners and your favorite writing utensils. The design was developed by Portuguese artisans in cooperation with Campfire Audio.
