It was almost exactly 20 years ago that company founder Henryk Feliks started the commercial development of tube devices. And the headphone amplifier now called EUFORIA 20th Anniversary Edition actually includes the bundled know-how of the innovative tube manufacturer.

Compared to the basic version of the EUFORIA, which of course, remains in the program, the special model comes with a monocrystalline and Teflon-coated NeoTech UP-OCC single crystal copper wiring, which, according to the manufacturer, is able to send signals faster and, moreover, with less distortion than an OFC or Transfer silver wire wiring.

Furthermore, high-quality Clarity-Cap capacitors with Copper-Connect technology are responsible for the transparent reproduction of the music. Newly designed constant current source modules should ensure stable operating conditions at all times, completely independent of external factors.

In addition, a low-noise ULN power transformer, because it is shielded, offers even better electromagnetic decoupling. The high-gloss, anthracite-colored special paint finish also visually sets the anniversary model apart from the matt black basic version.

High-Performance Build Quality and Aesthetic Design

This is the build quality you expect from a top-of-the-line high-end unit, no matter if it comes from Poland, Russia, the USA, or China. The design itself is simple, with the smaller input tubes upfront and the bigger 6AS7G-style power tubes behind them. They nicely hide the big transfer compartment at the back, but at the same time.

In fact, with the smaller 7236 tube type, the power tubes are smaller than the driver tubes and so the back shows even more. It’s all good, it’s pretty.  The vent system on the top of the case is different and the feet have an extra layer of protection. The Feliks Audio logo on top of the case is now shinier.

This exquisitely handcrafted OTL, built around two 6SN7 and two 6AS7G tubes, delivers incredible dynamism, sound stage, and level of detail never before heard in tube amplifiers, while retaining the unmistakable tube sound signature.Euforia’s unique design allows for exceptional sound quality with a broad range of headphones, powerful enough to drive even demanding low impedance headphones (<32 ohms) including planar magnetics.

The Euforia is dead silent at all times with all headphones: there’s no tube noise, no volume pot noise, or any noise sneaking in from the power supply. The background is black and very clean at all times, with all headphones.

Presentation-wise, the Euforia is tuned more neutrally but with a smooth tube delivery and an extremely high level of musicality. Key characteristics when listening to the AE are timbre, extension, spaciousness, detail, and speed. The sound stage is wide and deep, it extends well both in bass and treble, and the layering and transparency from top to bottom are exemplary.

The bass goes down really low with an awesome sub-bass. The bass is always tight, fast, and detailed. It has excellent layering and, body-wise, is more than sufficient to keep everything engaging and musical.

The mids and richs have a wonderful timbre and they’re presented in a spacious, airy, and very natural way. The treble section is energetic and extended, but soft and musical at the very same time. Treble detail is also very good, but the tube smoothness in this area is very noticeable as well.
