On March 15, 2025, the “World of Headphones” will return to the unique setting of the Tankturm in Heidelberg for its second edition. This exclusive headphone trade fair, an offshoot of the renowned High End show, offers audiophiles the chance to explore the latest innovations in headphones, headphone amplifiers, portable audio solutions, and IEMs. With all the top brands present, visitors can thoroughly test and experience these cutting-edge products firsthand.
World of Headphones promises a unique experience for audiophiles and music lovers. Immerse yourself in the world of first-class audio technology, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and discover the fascinating fusion of music, technology and enjoyment.
Venue

The event will be held at two unique locations: the Tankturm Heidelberg and the Headphone Shop Pleasuredome, just 200 meters away. These extraordinary spaces provide the perfect setting to showcase the best high-end audio has to offer.

Pure listening pleasure
Exhibitors will showcase the latest home & portable audio solutions, and visitors will have the chance to test the products on-site and find the perfect product for their needs.

The Headphone Museum
In addition to the best of today, our Headphone Museum is ready for a tour – here you will find important milestones in the history of headphones including an Urjecklin from 1972, an AKG K1000 from 1989 and much more. And as a special treat, the Sennheiser Orpheus is ready and waiting to be heard!

Another highlight of music history awaits you in the “Pleasuredome”: an original Wurlitzer jukebox from 1947, restored and equipped with modern music. An absolute highlight of music history!

Heidelberg is always worth a visit
Heidelberg, with its picturesque old town, is not only the perfect setting for the “World of Headphones” but also a destination worth exploring. The historic city center is just a short walk away, offering a wealth of fascinating sights. Visit Heidelberg Castle, one of Germany’s most famous ruins, or stroll across the iconic Old Bridge over the Neckar. The Philosopher’s Path provides breathtaking views of the city, while the Karzer, a former student prison, offers a glimpse into Heidelberg’s rich academic history.
Art lovers will enjoy the Kunsthalle Heidelberg, which features contemporary exhibitions, while nature enthusiasts can find tranquility in the botanical garden of Heidelberg University. The Jesuit Church, with its stunning Baroque architecture, is also well worth a visit.
The “World of Headphones” isn’t just about extraordinary audio experiences – it’s also a great opportunity to discover the cultural and historical treasures of Heidelberg.

How to get to the Tankturm in Heidelberg

By Car
Coming by car from the A5 freeway, take the Heidelberg exit onto the B535 and drive onto Speyerer Straße in the direction of Heidelberg Zentrum. At the next major traffic lights, turn left into Diebsweg (there is a Leonardo Hotel on the right-hand side). At the end of Diebsweg, turn right onto Eppelheimer Straße. You will find the TANKTURM on the left-hand side. The entrance to the building is behind the BAUHAUS opposite the K&K gas station.
You can reach the Headphone Shop with Pleasuredome and Museum on foot (approx. 200m). It is located directly next to the Eppelheimer Terrasse stop.

Parking facilities
In the immediate commercial neighborhood there is a large number of free parking spaces.
By Train / Public Transportation
Take the train to Heidelberg main station.
Change to streetcar 22 and get off at Eppelheimer Terrasse.
Cross Eppelheimer Straße at the K&K petrol station and follow the road between Bauhaus and Kölle Zoo. You will automatically walk towards the TANKTURM.
The Headphone Shop is located directly at the Eppelheimer Terrasse stop.
