The Meze Ultra Cable is a no-compromise high-end headphone cable designed for owners of the Meze Empyrean, Empyrean II, Elite and ARTA. Combining 7N pure silver conductors, an intricate hand-braided construction and premium metal hardware, it is engineered to complement the exceptional performance and craftsmanship of Meze’s flagship headphones.

At its heart, the Ultra Cable uses 7N pure silver with 99.99999% purity, offering outstanding electrical conductivity and extremely low signal resistance. The result is a cable designed for clean, transparent signal transmission while preserving the fine detail, dynamics and precision of high-resolution recordings.

7N Pure Silver Conductors

The Ultra Cable incorporates 40 individual silver conductors, each measuring 0.08 mm in diameter. These conductors are arranged in an intricate 16-to-8 continuous braid, a geometry designed to minimize electromagnetic interaction between conductors and reduce crosstalk.

The carefully engineered construction provides a clean and stable signal path, allowing the resolving capabilities of high-end headphones and associated equipment to shine through. Every aspect of the cable has been designed with uncompromising attention to signal integrity.

Handcrafted in Baia Mare

Like Meze’s headphones, the Ultra Cable is produced with a high degree of craftsmanship. Each cable is handcrafted to order in Baia Mare, Romania, with production limited to just one cable per day.

The cable’s connectors and Y-splitter are made from cast zinc alloy with a PVD coating. Their flowing, aerodynamic shapes provide a distinctive tactile and visual character while complementing the industrial design language of Meze’s flagship headphones.

Streamline Moderne Design

The visual identity of the Ultra Cable was created by Meze product designer Szabolcs Ferenczi, drawing inspiration from Streamline Moderne, an Art Deco movement characterized by flowing lines, aerodynamic forms and a sense of movement.

The result is a cable that goes beyond pure functionality. Its sculpted metal components make it a genuine design statement and a natural visual companion to Meze’s high-end headphones.

Flexible Connection Options

The headphone side features dual 4-pin Mini-XLR connectors, making the Ultra Cable compatible with the Meze Empyrean, Empyrean II, Elite and ARTA.

Four termination options are available for connection to your amplifier or DAC:

• 3.5 mm – Single-ended
• 6.3 mm – Single-ended
• 4.4 mm Pentaconn – Balanced
• 4-pin XLR – Balanced

The standard cable length is 1.2 m. Custom lengths of up to 10 m are also available on request.

Premium Protection and Presentation

The Ultra Cable comes with a dedicated premium hard case for safe transportation and storage. Inside, the cable rests on an Alcantara cloth that can also be used to gently care for the metal components.
