Feliks Audio Bliss: A New Reference in Electrostatic Headphone Amplification

With the Feliks Audio Bliss, the Polish manufacturer takes a decisive step into new territory.
Known worldwide for their acclaimed tube amplifiers such as the Elise, Euforia, and the flagship Envy, Feliks Audio now turns its attention to the demanding world of electrostatic headphones. The result is not an adaptation of an existing concept, but a ground-up design that aims to redefine what is possible in electrostatic headphone amplification.

After more than four years of development, the Bliss was unveiled in its final form at High End Munich 2025, where it immediately attracted widespread attention. Awarded Best of Show by both Soundnews and Headfonia, the Bliss made it clear from the outset that Feliks Audio had arrived in the electrostatic reference class.

Designed Without Compromise

Electrostatic headphones are notoriously difficult to drive – requiring extreme voltage swing, absolute stability, and exceptional noise control. Rather than following conventional design paths, Feliks Audio chose a fully tube-based, transformerless Class A architecture, capable of delivering up to 1470 V peak-to-peak output.

At the driver stage, four carefully selected 6E5P NOS tubes, operated as triodes in a push-pull configuration, provide massive voltage gain while maintaining low distortion and excellent linearity. This stage feeds a fully symmetrical Hedge topology built around 300B triodes, ensuring ultra-linear operation, wide bandwidth, and outstanding common-mode rejection. The elimination of the Miller effect allows the Bliss to remain open, fast, and unrestrained across the entire frequency spectrum.

To maintain precise current control and thermal stability, EL34 tubes are employed as part of the amplifier’s current-control architecture. Despite its purely tube-based design, the Bliss operates with tight tolerances and impressive long-term stability.

A Sonic Character Built Around Realism

The sound of the Feliks Audio Bliss is best described as natural, dynamic, and deeply immersive. Rather than emphasizing individual frequency ranges, Bliss focuses on coherence and realism. Micro-details emerge effortlessly, dynamics scale without compression, and spatial information is presented with exceptional depth and precision.

Whether paired with modern flagship electrostatic headphones or vintage classics, the Bliss delivers authority without aggression and detail without analytical sharpness. Classical recordings benefit from its expansive staging and tonal accuracy, while jazz, rock, and electronic music gain impact, texture, and control.

Universal Compatibility Through Adjustable Bias

One of the defining features of the Feliks Audio Bliss is its adjustable bias system, allowing it to drive virtually any electrostatic headphone on the market. A front-panel control lets the user set the bias voltage precisely:

  • PRO ONLY (5-pin): 240–720 V
  • NORMAL (6-pin): 120–360 V

The NORMAL output always operates at half the voltage of the PRO output, ensuring safe and correct operation across different electrostatic standards. This flexibility makes the Bliss equally suitable for modern 580 V designs and older 230 V headphones.

Adjustable input sensitivity further enhances compatibility, allowing seamless integration with a wide range of DACs. Feliks Audio recommends pairing the Bliss with a high-output DAC delivering between 5 and 10 voltsfor optimal performance.

Engineering at the Highest Level

Internally, the Bliss reflects Feliks Audio’s obsessive attention to detail. A 24-position DACT balanced stepped attenuator ensures precise channel matching and low distortion at all volume levels. Premium components from manufacturers such as Vishay, Dale, Nichicon, and Jantzen are used throughout the circuit.

Signal handling is further refined by Lundahl line transformers and custom Toroidy toroidal transformers for each channel, featuring advanced shielding and resin encapsulation to minimize electromagnetic interference. Critical sections are executed using point-to-point wiring, reducing parasitic capacitance and preserving signal integrity.

Handcrafted Design Meets Timeless Aesthetics

Every Feliks Audio Bliss is hand-built by experienced technicians and undergoes extensive testing before leaving the workshop. Its substantial size and weight underline its flagship status, while the visual design remains elegant and restrained.

The amplifier is available in three solid-wood finishes—Oak, American Walnut, and Zebrano. All wooden elements are machined, finished, and cured in-house to ensure durability and resistance to heat. As a result, no two units are exactly alike.

Final Thoughts

The Feliks Audio Bliss is not simply Feliks Audio’s first electrostatic amplifier—it is a clear statement of intent. Combining innovative circuit design, uncompromising tube engineering, and meticulous craftsmanship, Bliss stands as a true reference for electrostatic headphone enthusiasts.

For listeners seeking ultimate realism, authority, and musical immersion from their electrostatic headphones, the Feliks Audio Bliss represents a new benchmark at the very top of the category.
