The world’s first Multi-DAC DAP on Astell & Kern – A&Futura SE200

The Astell & Kern – A&Futura SE200 features ESS’ latest audiophile DACs, the ES9068AS in a dual-DAC configuration. They then added a single AK4499EQ, AKM’s flagship DAC used in our flagship SP2000. By combining the three DACs, A&K has produced the world’s first Multi-DAC DAP.

Independent AMP sections

The SE200 was designed with several different AMP circuits to optimize the different characteristics of the AKM and ESS DACs used in the player. The SE200 has independent circuits to separate the signals for each channel from balanced and unbalanced. This results in the best possible premium sound.

Real-time information is shown by light

The SE200 has an LED volume wheel that displays various playback information, more precisely the volume level and bit rate of the currently playing track. The LED can be turned on or off depending on the user setting.

MQA (Master Quality Authenticated)

Unique metal fabrication technology on Astell & Kern – A&Futura SE200

The manufacturing is done with precise and perfected metal processing technology. A new ceramic back cover has been developed for the SE200 DAP, instead of the glass used on the previous generation SE100. This improves wireless performance and gives the player a more premium feel. In total, the manufacturing process involves seven separate processes. Slow processing prevents the formation of cracks.

The aluminum enclosure ensures maximum sound quality with the greatest possible noise reduction. Laser Ground Extension technology ensures the best possible sound, without any interference or distortion. The machines used by Astell&Kern are the same ones used in the production of expensive Swiss luxury watch manufacturers. The SE200 player fits perfectly in the hand.
