Newly developed audio circuit on Astell & Kern – A&Ultima SP2000
The SP2000 is the first Astell&Kern player to use separate, independent audio channels between the unbalanced and balanced outputs. Consequently, with 6Vrms for the balanced output and 3Vrms for the unbalanced output, the Hi-Res player has much more power than ever before. With this design, Astell&Kern’s SP2000 player offers the ultimate audio experience.
Asahi Kasei’s advanced DAC chips, Dual AK4499EQ
The AK4499EQ DAC chip uses ‘Current Output Architecture’ technology. To take full advantage of this new technology, Astell&Kern has completely redesigned the operational amplifier and analog amplifier block. The new circuit design optimizes power consumption and gets the most out of these new DAC chips. Thus, the combination of the SP2000 and AK4499EQ chips provides stunning audio quality.
